PROJECT 2
Looking Back on 9/11
Everyone knows about 9/11. Even people who were too young to remember it or weren't born yet know about this tragic event in American history. many lives were effected because of what Al-Qaeda did. On September 1st, 2001, a plane struck the North Tower, causing the tower to catch fire. At first, everyone thought that the plane crashing into the tower was an accident. A few minutes later however, a second was seen flying towards the South Tower, eventually crashing into it. After this, it was clear; America was under attack. People were panicking and terrified. Soon after both of the towers were hit, the South Tower fell, with the North Tower following shortly after. America. For my project, I decided to show the perspective of 2 types of people; those who were watched 9/11 and someone who was in the towers when they were struck. My English and Social Studies products were focused on two interviews I conducted on my dad and my cousin. Both of them were both in Baltimore when the towers were attacked. My art piece was more focused on a survivor of 9/11; Mark Oliver.
